RealNetworks推出了新的RealPlayer 11测试版本。支持播放在各种在线媒体视频，包括Flash, FLV格式或者MOV格式等等，并且在播放过程中能够录制视频。同时还加入了在线视频的一键下载功能到浏览器中，支持IE和Firefox，这样便能够下载YouTube, MSN，Google Video等等在线视频到本地硬盘来离线观看。而且还加入了DVD/VCD视频刻录的功能。另外官方声明中便指出RealPlayer 11将对Windows Vista支持不佳，会影响Aero效果等等
